Advancing Clinical Trials in Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal (ACT NOW)

Study Purpose The goal of the ACT NOW Current Experience (CE) Study was to describe patient and practice variation in the care of infants with Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS).
The data collected in this study can inform policies, programs, and practices in the care of infants with NOWS and has informed the design of clinical trials to improve the care and outcomes for infants with NOWS. To achieve this goal, sites in 18 states collected demographic and clinical characteristics for infants with NOWS at ECHO IDea States Pediatric Clinical Trials Network (ISPCTN) and participating Neonatal Research Network (NRN) sites.
