DESCRIPTION:Heterogeneity of Severe Bronchiolitis: Implications for Acute Management and for Developing Asthma\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeaker: \n \nCarlos Camargo\, MD \nHarvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital \n  \n  \n  \nSpeaker Bio: Dr. Carlos Camargo is a Professor of Emergency Medicine\, Medicine\, and Epidemiology at Harvard University\, and the Conn Chair in Emergency Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He founded and leads the Emergency Medicine Network (or EMNet)\, an international research collaboration with 247 hospitals. Two EMNet cohorts are part of ECHO: the MARC-35 severe bronchiolitis cohort and MARC-43 healthy infant cohort. He also works on the role of nutrition in respiratory/allergy disorders\, both in large cohort studies and in randomized controlled trials; the health effects of vitamin D are a major focus. \nDr Camargo is past president of the American College of Epidemiology\, and has worked on several U.S. guidelines\, including those on diet\, asthma\, and food allergy.
